Getting matched
How long does it take to get matched?
We introduce you to your Insidoor within 48 hours of your request. Tell us the city, your budget, your languages and who is coming with you, and we pair you with someone whose experience fits.
What if I don't get on with my Insidoor?
Tell us and we rematch you. Ratings run both ways on Insidoor, and an Insidoor who is not delivering does not keep working with us. Nothing is released to an Insidoor before the milestone it is attached to.
How far ahead of my move should I start?
Four to six weeks before you arrive is comfortable for a full search. Verify works at any notice — if you have found a place and need eyes on it this week, that is exactly what it is for.
Do I need to speak the local language?
No. Insidoor is English-first: every Insidoor works with you in English, and negotiates on your behalf in the local language. Many speak more — languages are shown on every profile.
Can you help if I'm moving with family or pets?
Yes, and it changes the match. Family situation is one of the criteria we pair on, so you get an Insidoor who has handled school searches, family-sized leases or pet-friendly landlords in that city.
Pricing & payment
Why does the price depend on the city?
Because rents and the effort behind a search do. A fee that is fair in Kraków is not fair in London. We group cities into three tiers and publish the fee for each, so you know the number before you start.
Is the fee really fixed?
Yes. The fee is set by Insidoor and published before you book. There is no commission on your rent, no percentage of the lease, and no success fee on top.
When do you take the money?
Insidoor collects the full fee at booking and holds it. Your Insidoor's share is released only as milestones are completed — viewings delivered, lease signed, setup complete.
What happens if the search doesn't work out?
Milestones that were not delivered were not paid out. Contact us and we will either rematch you or refund the unreleased portion of your fee.
Do you take a cut of my rent or deposit?
No. Your rent and deposit go to your landlord, not through Insidoor. We are paid by you, once, at the published fee.
Your Insidoor
Who becomes an Insidoor?
People physically on the ground who have lived in the city for at least three years, with a verified ID. Their languages, response time and completion record are shown on their profile.
What is the difference between a Scout and an Insidoor?
Scouts handle Verify checks and viewings — fast eyes on the ground. Insidoors run full Starter and Premium relocations end to end. The vetting bar is the same; the scope is not.
Is my Insidoor an estate agent?
No. Insidoor does not list property and your Insidoor is not paid by a landlord or agency. They work for you, which is why they will tell you when a place is not worth taking.
How do I follow what's happening?
Everything runs on the Insidoor platform: in-app chat, a shared search board, viewing videos, and a milestone timeline you can watch move.
Cities & coverage
My city isn't listed. Can you still help?
Tell us where you are headed. We open new cities as Insidoors are vetted, and demand is how we decide which city is next. We will not put you with someone who does not meet the bar just to fill a request.
Do you cover the whole country or just the city?
Cities. Insidoor is built on people who actually live in a neighbourhood, which does not scale to a whole country. If you are moving somewhere near a listed city, ask us.
For Insidoors
What do I earn?
Half of every fee. Insidoor collects the full amount at booking and releases your share as you complete milestones — the platform's half covers payments, support and finding you the client.
Do I need to be a licensed agent?
No. You need at least three years living in the city, a verified ID, and the willingness to actually go and look at places. Local licensing rules still apply to you where your city has them.
How much time does it take?
A Verify visit is an afternoon. A Starter relocation is typically spread over two to four weeks. You choose what you take on, and your response time and completion rate are public — so take on what you can finish.
